CLOSE UP OF OVERLAP

Notice tapering or feathering of the end of the orange yarn - You can achieve this by pulling the yarn apart with your two hands and sometimes that's hard work. Or, you can drag the yarn through partially open scissors. This tapered/angled end blends in better with the over lapping o the two yarns be they of the same or different colors. The"bump" of the overlap gradually disappears as you continue to weave and beat down the rows.
If you want to just blunt cut your yarn and push it through to the back that's fine in such bulky projects as we're doing. But, still overlap by several inches! You can work those loose ends later into the body of the weaving. You could even tie knots.
